We are excited to launch our annual Wildfire Community Preparedness Day 2025 (Prep Day) on May 3, a national annual campaign that encourages people and organizations to come together to raise awareness and take action to reduce wildfire risks.

This Facebook Live event will be hosted by Megan Fitzgerald-McGowan Firewise USA® Program Manager of the NFPA Wildfire Division of the NFPA Wildfire Division, with special guest, Anne Cope, Chief Engineer at the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS). Join us as Anne shares details of past wildfire research experiments and burn demonstrations that emphasize the importance of creating a 5-foot noncombustible buffer around a home to reduce wildfire risk.
